Protect Pacific Whales Facebook Competition Entries Closed

Biodiversity Conservation
The Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme's Protect Pacific Whales Facebook competition is officially closed for entries.

The competition, which was launched in partnership with Digicel Samoa on World Biodiversity Day on 22 May, called for residents of SPREP's island member countries to submit their entries of artworks inspired by our Pacific whales. It officially closed for entries on 22 June. The SPREP team is currently in the process of finalising the entries received - making sure they meet the terms and conditions of entry.

The competition aims to raise awareness of our Pacific whales through sharing different designs and artwork from across the Pacific islands.

The next stage of the competition will be the voting stage, where all entries will be uploaded onto the SPREP/PEIN Facebook page, and people will be given the chance to vote for their favourite. The voting is to close on 16 July, after which the winner will be selected based on the entry with the most likes, to receive a brand new Alcatel Pixi 3 smartphone compliments of Digicel.

In order to place your vote, please like the SPREP Facebook Page and get ready to vote for your favourite entry come Monday 4 July.
