Environment matters : Annual Review at the World Bank

The scale of this challenge is daunting. In the next decades, our planet is expected to accomodate an additional 2 billion people, almost all of them in developing countries. It must also meet the legitimate aspirations for a better life of the nearly 3 billion impoverished people making less than $2 per day.
